Established in 1975, Control Flow, Inc. has decades of experience in design and manufacturing of Wellhead Equipment, API Gate Valves, Subsea Valves, Chokes, Manifolds, BOP’s, and Christmas Trees. CFI-WesTech/Mo-Comp designed systems include Riser/Guideline Tensioners, Motion/Heave Compensators, Pipe Tensioners/ Handlers, Abandonment/Recovery Winches, Pulverizers and Specialty Items. CFI is an API, ASME and ISO 9001 Certified company, with headquarters and manufacturing base in Houston, Texas. CFI personnel, agents and distributors around the world form a reliable and experienced network of knowledgeable professions to serve our customers product and service needs for pressure control, tensioner and motion control equipment.

Today, Control Flow, Inc. is organized into several different product groups to better serve our customer’s needs for reliable, quality, Made in the U.S.A. products. All engineering, manufacturing, assembly and testing is done at our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas.

CFI FLOCON Pressure Control Operation

CFI Flocon is the OEM product line operation for the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of pressure control equipment for land, offshore platform and storage well applications. CFI is an API licensed company for the following products as applicable:

CFI FLOCON Pressure Control Equipment 5-Year Maintenance and Certificate Program for CFI and other OEM /Rebranding of BOP and Manifolds

CFI through its U.S. facilities in Houston, TX and Moore, OK plus its network of Authorized Repair Facilities around the world can provide inspection and repair of BOP’s and manifolds in accordance with CFI and API standards (6A Sect. 53 for manifolds and 16AR for BOP’s) as applicable for required 5-Year Maintenance and issue a Certificate of Compliance for such work. This service is available for CFI manufactured equipment as well as that of other OEM’s which will then be “Rebranded” as CFI equipment. Upon completion of the 5-Year maintenance work by CFI or one of its Authorized Repair Facilities, a Certificate of Compliance and Data Book will be issued by CFI for the equipment.

For other OEM equipment to qualify for this service and “Rebranding”, it must not originate from China or India and CFI must be provided a copy of the equipment’s original DATA BOOK from the OEM.

Mo-Comp and WesTech Operations

In September of 1997, Control Flow, Inc. acquired WesTech HMD and its product lines of Motion Compensation, Tensioner (including pipeline, riser and guideline tensioners) and related equipment designs. This acquisition provided for the purchase of the proprietary intellectual property that had been developed by the former Western Gear Corporation that later evolved into WesTech.

CFI separated the WesTech HMD product lines into two operating product operations; Mo-Comp and WesTech HMD. Later, in 1999, CFI acquired the Motion Compensation and Tensioner product lines of ABB Vetco. Then in 2008, the Retsco line of Motion Compensation and Tensioner product lines were added to CFI’s growing product capability for Motion Compensation, Tensioner and related products.

Today, Control Flow, Inc. is not only uniquely capable of providing OEM design, supply, installation and maintenance support for the Motion Compensation, Tensioner, Pipeline Tensioner and other related products of CFI but also for the similar products that were originally designed and manufactured by WesTech, ABB Vetco and Retsco until acquired by Control Flow, Inc.

CFI Mo-Comp

CFI Mo-Comp is the OEM product line operation for the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of offshore drilling equipment for deep water applications. Included in the Mo-Comp product line are CFI, WesTech, Vetco and Retsco designed motion compensation and tensioner products. These products include the following:

Included in the WesTech product line are CFI and WesTech designed pipeline tensioners, abandonment and recovery winches, pipe handling and other associated products. Control Flow, Inc. International Operations

Control Flow Incorporated S. de R.L. de C.V.

Established in 2005, as a CFI Subsidiary in Mexico to provide sales, service and repair for Control Flow manufactured wellhead, valves and BOP equipment. Organized as a service base, CFI Mexico Operation provides a variety of offshore and land field services within Mexico for both national and private sector drilling companies in Mexico and Latin America.

CFM-Tools Rental S. de R.L. de C.V.

CFM-Tools Rental, provides rental services of CFI manufactured equipment, serving both land and offshore markets within Mexico and other regions. CFM’s rental tool inventory includes BOP’s, valves, spools, and miscellaneous connectors and tools for oilfield operations.
